This blog was created to share some of the favorite -and not so favorite- moments and experiences that I'll be gathering while working in Yosemite National Park. I hope to be able to upload lots of pictures as well. Afterall, photographing is one reason I wanted to work in the park to begin with. Woohoo!Less than a week...

I begin work on the 26th at Degnan's Deli, which is located in the Yosemite Village area. Many of you have even eaten there- I know I have. If all goes well, my stay there will be four and a half months, with opportunities to seek different positions within the park after that.
I have been instructed not to bring my own car (employees' vehicles would take up too much space), So I am forced to rely on others, and/or the lovely YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transit System) to get me in and out of the park. I will have consecutive days off, so Lord willing there will be enough time to make it back to Manteca and home for visits. But who knows how well treking back and forth is actually going to work out. I'm looking forward to the possibility of people coming up just to visit me! No pressure, everyone... but do know: you will definitely be appreciated, and I would feel quite honored.:-D
Now that I have this blog up and running, I just want to say here's to God and His provision. Here's to great friends who care about me. Here's to technology that will allow me to keep in touch much easier than 15 years ago. Here's to kicking me in the bum so I'll actually keep in touch! Again, here's to God(!) and to the awesome blessings that await me. Thank you for all of your prayers.

yay! I am excited for you. I am going to get Josh up there some day (he has never been there) so we will definitely stop in and visit you. =)
Ros, we'll need to visit you also, I haven't been in probably 10 years. Glad to hear the first bit isn't too bad. So they said no cars, you can't even bring a car up and park it outside the park somewhere? Wierd.
Hey Girl!! Nice blog. A little out of date though. Not that I have room to complain. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
